Time & Location
May 26, 2019, 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Penn Treaty Park, 1301 N Beach St, Philadelphia, PA 19125, USA
About the event
In the summer of 2013, a trio of young artists started hanging around Fishtown’s Penn Treaty Park. They attracted a bit of attention, as they rather gracelessly attempted acrobatic feats. They had their first public showing of an acrobatic duet with live music in the park in August, 2013. That duet was called Communitas, and those people went on to found Almanac Dance Circus Theatre. Now, 5 years after the premiere of Communitas, Almanac returns to Penn Treaty Park, sharing a day long celebration of arts, movement, and our cherished public spaces.
Featuring performances and workshops from:
Almanac
Hip Hop Fundamentals
Funicular Wire Walkers
MoDa Movement
and many more to be announced soon.
